the portraits contained in this album are unconventional in the sense that they are not traditionally posed and have not been shot in a studio. the majority of them utilize natural light. they attempt to reproduce the mood and personality of their subjects rather than a mere physical likeness of them.

Snapshots

capturing the essence of a situation usually occurs in a dynamic moment in which nothing is staged and nobody is posed. this album contains street photography and candid shots in urban areas from san francisco to méxico city. each image represents just a moment in time, and often the transition from one moment to another.
