laralyn mowers was born and raised in southern california. with her family relocating every year or so, she had the fortune of exposure to new people and places, and was gifted with a constant change of perspective.
she inherited her great-grandfather's thirty-five millimeter camera, a honeywell pentax, when she was seventeen years old and began to document the world as she saw it.
laralyn now lives in san francisco, california, traveling frequently to the shores of ghana.
